This research paper aims to examine the contributions of Maulana Syed Abul A'la Maududi (RA) regarding the authority (Hujjat) of Hadith in Islamic jurisprudence. Maududi, a renowned Islamic scholar and thinker, played a pivotal role in revitalizing the understanding and application of Hadith in the modern context. He emphasized the necessity of Hadith alongside the Quran for a comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings, law, and ethics. This paper delves into his views on the reliability and authenticity of Hadith, highlighting his critical approach to the compilation and interpretation of Hadith literature.
