Atrocities on Arab women in the age of Jahiliyyah (An Analytical Study)

Abstract

During the period of Jahiliyyah, the Arabs in particular and the general people were living on earth, and the ways of salvation and guidance had disappeared. During the period of Jahiliyyah, the women of the Arab society were going through severe trials, some were like this, who refused to support the girls, and forced them to live a life of humiliation and disgrace. In the religion of Islam, women have their status and place, in the sermon of Arafat on the occasion of Hajjat Ul Wada, the Prophet ﷺ advised good behavior towards women. It is a great achievement of the religion of Islam that in the era of Jahiliyyah, women who considered themselves a cause of infamy, gave dignity in the form of a mother, sister, daughter, and wife. In the history of Islam, there have been women in front of whom good experts found themselves helpless, their tongue was sharper than a sword, and the poems of some women were no less than a bare sword for an enemy. In the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ, the rules and issues are explained equally for both men and women.
